No swine flu vaccination clinics in Snohomish County this weekend
The swine flu vaccination clinics tentatively scheduled around Snohomish County for this weekend have been cancelled.
The vaccine that is available in the county instead will be distributed to local clinics.
More than 20,000 people were vaccinated in clinics on Halloween for those at greatest risk for serious illness or death from swine flu.
They included pregnant women, anyone from 6 months through 24 years of age; people who care for children younger than 6 months of age such as parents, siblings and day care providers; people 25 to 64 years old who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk of complications from influenza, such as influenza, diabetes, asthma and heart problems; teachers and child care providers 64 and under.
However, lines were long. Some people waited up to four hours to be vaccinated.
