AFGHANISTAN

Obama begins his liberal flip-flop

The Obama administration, in full-press mode, decided to tie the sending of troops to support our operations already in Afghanistan to the presidential runoff election in that country (which now has been canceled). I suspect that Obama supporters on the far left, who are anti-war no matter what the conflict, are strongly influencing him. These are the legitimate inheritors of the shameful traditions of the left-wingers who threw blood and obscenities on our guys coming back from Vietnam 40 years ago.

This changing of the rules typifies Obama, and should furnish additional proof of how horribly Americans were hoodwinked by this president. I think people voted for him believing the centrist statements he made during the presidential campaign. Boy, how wrong you were!

I predict the next step will be for him to further abdicate his responsibility, and instead resort to next deciding that the Congress should decide the matter of troop reinforcement.

As Americans, I think we must support our troops in foreign wars in every way we can, because they are our sons and daughters. If the Obama people will not, then they should acknowledge the loss of that war, and immediately bring every service person home. To continue to subject them to attack is morally indefensible.
