Odor forces closure at Monroe clinic

MONROE — A walk-in clinic was evacuated about 3 p.m. today following complaints of a sulfur-like odor, Fire District 3 spokeswoman Richelle Risdon said.

The odor at Providence Physician Group was coming from an unknown source and was concentrated in a few rooms, Risdon said. A hazardous materials team was investigating, she said.

Monroe police aided the fire department by directing traffic outside the clinic at 14692 179th Avenue SE.
