The Port of Seattle said the agreement signed Thursday will preserve the line for transportation and recreation uses. The port’s acquisition is scheduled to close Dec. 15. The partners are King County, Sound Transit, city of Redmond, Puget Sound Energy and Cascade Water Alliance.
