Front Porch: Hear Ugandan Orphans Choir perform

The Ugandan Orphans Choir holds free performances in Mukilteo on Sunday and in Everett on Sunday and Wednesday.

Performances are 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday at Mukilteo Presbyterian Church, 4514 84th St. SW, and 7 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 215 W. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett.

Wednesday’s performance is 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 8401 Holly Drive, Everett.

The choir, which has performed nationally, features drumming and dancing as part of traditional African folk songs and other songs they sing in English.

Free dinner for veterans: A veterans appreciation dinner is 5:30 tonight at Everett Elks Lodge No. 479, 2802 Hoyt Ave., Everett. The Swiss steak meal is $8 for nonveterans.
