TRIVIA: Casablancas worked with in-demand producer Mike Mogis, whose recent credits include new albums by Pete Yorn, Monsters of Folk and She & Him. STANDOUT: The incessantly catchy lead single “11th Dimension” is one of several songs that showcases Casablancas’ love for New Wave. FANS DIG: Haircuts with bangs ANDY SAYS: Strokes fans know that Casablancas is that band’s driving force. On the group’s three albums, he has shared a writing credit on a mere four songs. And so his eight-track solo album doesn’t find him running wild. Instead, he mostly avoids solo project indulgences to deliver the exciting and edgy pop rock that fans expect.
