She is scheduled to appear at the Friends of the Langley Library meeting, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley. Pearl is the author of several books and is a book reviewer on National Public Radio. No sign-up is necessary, and admission won’t be charged. For more information call Pam Owen at 360-221-8601.
