Nancy Pearl to speak in Langley

    Seattle librarian Nancy Pearl reacts to seeing the final prototype of the librarian action figure she inspired in 2003 at Archie McPhee & Co.’s Seattle store as store manager Shana Iverson looks on. Pearl will speak in Langley on Tuesday.

Nancy Pearl, Langley’s favorite book reviewer, will be back in town to give recommendations of her favorite books.

She is scheduled to appear at the Friends of the Langley Library meeting, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley.

Pearl is the author of several books and is a book reviewer on National Public Radio. No sign-up is necessary, and admission won’t be charged.
