Search for missing hiker called off

ARLINGTON — Rescue crews suspended the search for a Seattle hiker missing for a week.

Volunteers searched for days last week for signs of Gregory Keller, 59, who didn’t return from his week-long camping trip in the area. He was due back Nov. 3.

The search was suspended for now, but crews are expected to resume their efforts, Snohomish County sheriff’s Sgt. Danny Wikstrom said on Sunday.

The man’s car was found near Highway 530, about 40 miles east of Arlington.

Keller is described as 6-feet tall, weighing 300 pounds. He’s balding and officials believe he had a backpack, tent and trekking poles.

Anyone with information is asked to call 425-388-3523.
