Taste of Tulalip showcases state wines
More than 60 Washington wineries will share their expertise and products Saturday and Sunday at Tulalip Resort Casinos Taste of Tulalip, a celebration of wine, food and tradition.
Produced in cooperation with Wine Spectator magazine, the event will feature a celebration reception and multicourse dinner with expert wine pairings, wine education, demonstrations by award winning chefs, wine tasting and a Crossfire Challenge conducted by PBS Televisions reality show The Winemakers.
Panelists will include Joel Butler, one of the first two resident American Masters of Wine and Director of Education at Chateau Ste. Michelle, and Patricia Gelles, owner of KlipSun Vineyards in Benton County, named one of the top 25 vineyards in the world by Wine & Spirits magazine.
Seminars include the basics of wine tasting, pairing food and wine, and understanding wine aromas with the wine aroma wheel.
Admission to Taste of Tulalip is $45. Seminars are $45 each or two for $75. The celebration dinner is $200. A weekend package for $280 includes one ticket to the dinner, two seminars and a ticket to one of the chef demonstrations.
