CONGRESS

Pelosi clearly has control of Larsen

U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen continues to vote on bills to the detriment of the majority of his constituents and should be shown the door next November. It seems that Speaker Nancy Pelosi has him by the nose and leads him where she wants and he exhibits no courage to make the right calls for himself.

A $750 billion stimulus bill and the bloated, pork-laden budget has added great debt to our nation and threatens our future financial soundness. Now unemployment is above 10 percent nationally, and 15 to 18 percent in some areas of the country. The only thing stimulated is the national debt and the unemployment figures.

Larsen voted “yea” on the cap-and-tax bill, admitting that it will even penalize Washington’s own clean and renewable energy source, hydroelectric power, and make everything produced and transported more expensive for everybody. Thanks, Congressman.

Now with another “yea” on the massive, intrusive and costly health-care bill, he might as well stay at home and just mail his vote to Pelosi. It’s one thing to address and attempt to fix the areas that need fixing, but this massive takeover and big government power grab is going to destroy the best health-care system in the world.
