Seahawks hit the road. Uh-oh.

Posted at 11:39 am

By now we all know the Seahawks have not had great success on the road in recent years, which is where they will be for the next three years.

What's really concerning for the Seahawks, however, is the fact that they really struggle playing good teams on the road. Going back to the 2004 season, which is when they last beat a playoff team on the road, the Seahawks have won 18 road games and lost 25 including their 0-3 road record this year. That by itself isn't all that terrible, but it's when you look at who the Seahawks beat in those 18 games that it seems unlikely that they'll beat winning teams like Arizona and Minnesota, their next two road opponents.

Over the previous five seasons, the Seattle's 18 road wins are against teams that have a combined record of 97-191, good for a .337 winning percentage. Arizona is 5-3, and Minnesota sits at 7-1. I'm not math major, but I'm pretty sure those are both substantially better than .337 win percentages.
