Celebrations

Anniversaries

Carter

Russell and Noma Jean Carter of Marysville celebrated their 57th anniversary on Oct. 26.

They were married Oct. 26, 1952, in Oahu, Hawaii.

The Carters have three children and two grandchildren.

McGilvray

Patrick and Sherry McGilvray of Clinton plan to celebrate their 40th anniversary on Nov. 22.

Pat grew up in south Seattle and is a graduate of the University of Washington. Sherry grew up in Kenmore and attended Western Washington University.

They met on a scuba diving trip to British Columbia.

They married three months later on Nov. 22, 1969, at the Methodist Church in Bothell.

In 1977, the couple moved to Everett, where they raised their two children. In 2001, they moved to Clinton.

Pat is retired industrial designer and Sherry was the secretary at Jackson Elementary before moving to Whidbey Island to pursue her jewelry business full time and enjoy beach time with their four granddaughters.

Skinner

Fred and Nancy Skinner of Arlington celebrated their 40th anniversary on Nov. 7.

They were high school sweethearts and were married on Nov. 7, 1969, in Everett.

The Skinners have two children and four grandchildren.

The couple celebrated their anniversary in August with a family cruise to the Caribbean.

Engagement

Kane-Fernandez

J.T. Kane and Dinesha Fernandez of Everett plan a spring 2010 wedding.

The groom’s parents are Sandra and Brian Kramlich of Everett. His grandparents are Darlene and Gary Bunger of Everett. The bride’s parents are Lois Jones of Marysville and Jason Fernandez of Las Vegas, Nev. Her grandparents are Michele Madison and Leland Jones Sr. of Tulalip and Marie Dipalma of Las Vegas, Nev.

The couple graduated together from Everett High School in 2004. Kane proposed on Aug. 28.
