Man who died from fall identified

LYNNWOOD — The carpet installer who died Thursday after falling out of a fourth-floor window in Lynnwood was identified Friday by the King County medical examiner as Todd William Powell.

Powell, 45, died from blunt force injuries to his head and torso, the medical examiner said. His death was ruled an accident.

He reportedly fell Thursday morning while moving carpet into a window, police said. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died.

The Washginton State Department of Labor & Industries is investigating.
