Two dead, two injured in Lynnwood car wreck

LYNNWOOD – Two people were killed and two others left clinging two their lives early this morning after their car smashed into a tree.

Medics were called shortly after 2 a.m. to the intersection of 176th Street SW and North Road, less than a mile north of Lynnwood High School, Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.

Four people were in the small car that crashed into a tree, she said. Crews found two people dead at the scene. No other information about them was available.

Two young men were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries. It took firefighters 15 minutes to get one of the men of the wrecked car, Hynes said.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives were investigating the crash.
