Snohomish County book events

Water wonderland: Artist Tony Angell will sign his book “Puget Sound Through an Artist’s Eye” at 7 p.m. Monday atThird Place Books.

Angell, a longtime conservationist from Lake Forest Park, describes the birds that inhabitat our waterways in this book illustrated with his drawings and photos of his carvings.

The book, with a foreward by Northwest author Ivan Doig, lists at $35.

Musical memories: Tell all the gang to meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brier Library for “Give My Regards to Broadway,” a musical journey through the history of America.

The library’s Bryan Stratton will conduct this revue, which stars you in the chorus, singing the songs that have defined our times. Stratton shows through words and music the evolution of American popular song.

Woof words: Children’s author and illustrator Wendy Wahman will read from her book “Don’t Lick the Dog” at 2 p.m. Friday at the Arlington Library.

The book, intended for ages 4 to 8, lists at $16.95. Wahman tells children how to make friends with animals in a safe way.
