Body found in Arlington field

ARLINGTON – Police were investigating this morning's discovery of a man’s body in a field.

A neighbor shortly before noon reported the grim discovery in the area near the 23400 block of 35th Avenue NE in unincorporated Arlington, Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

Detectives from the sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit were called to investigate.

Hover said the body belongs to a white man, likely in his 20s. She didn’t have any details this afternoon.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner was expected to do an autopsy to identify the man and to determine how he died.

sad sad sad
people have been so quick to judge the young man who was killed and have completely forgotten all of the lives this has effected...i know the young mans uncle personally...their family has been completely destroyed for those of you who may be interested. his loving grandfather lost his battle with cancer this past summer and now the family has lost another. just think of all the lives that have been effected by this home owner chasing "the burgaler" and shooting him in the back, in the woods. my prayers go out to all of these families. the hollidays will never be the same for any of them.

Possible related incident
This was told to me by a coworker who lives adjacent to the field where the body was found. Around 3pm Monday afternoon, he just got home when he heard two gunshots. A young man came running from his neighbors yard, through my coworkers yard and into the woods behind his house. The neighbor followed saying that the man had just attempted to rob his house. I am very interested in hearing the details of this case and if the suspected robery victim is justified in this apparent shooting.
