Coast Guard suspends search for body reportedly seen floating near Mukilteo dock

MUKILTEO - The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search for a body reportedly seen floating near the Mukilteo Ferry Dock shortly before 10 a.m. this morning.

During the search, the ferry Kitsap dropped passengers off in Edmonds instead of Mukilteo.

Tulalip Tribal Police and the Coast Guard conducted a joint search using a helicopter, Coast Guard cutter and three small boats, Coast Guard spokesman David Marin said.

Witnesses reported seeing a person wearing a tan coat, blue pants and black shoes floating in the water Marin said.

A helicopter search did not find a body.
