No injuries in Brier house fire
BRIER A fire caused $150,000 damage and displaced a family from their home near Brier early Friday.
No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1.
A neighbor called 911 at 9:41 a.m. to report flames coming from a house in the 21400 block of 17th Place W., near Cypress Way.
Flames were coming out the front window of the tri-level house when firefighters arrived. Firefighters from Snohomish County Fire District 1, Edmonds and Lynnwood responded to the call and had the fire under control within 15 minutes, Hynes said.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshals Office determined the fire was accidental. The cause remains under investigation.
Support 7 and the Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross responded to help the couple who own the home and their two children. They have insurance, Hynes said.
