Free holiday dinners

There will be free meals offered on Thanksgiving at the following locations:

Edmonds: 11 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., Westgate Chapel, 22901 Edmonds Way.

Everett: 4 and 5:30 p.m., New Life Ministries, 2532 Virginia.

Marysville: 1 to 3 p.m., Allen Creek Community Church, 7314 44th Ave. NE.

Sultan: 1 to 4 p.m., Sky Valley Community Resource Center, 617 First St.



Donate to Sky Valley Food Bank: Those who wish to donate to the Sky Valley Food Bank in Monroe can do so from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays at 233 Sky River Parkway.



Some Thanksgiving closures:

Government: Federal, state and local offices are closed.

Schools: Closed.

Post offices: Closed, although Express Mail service continues.

Commerce: Most businesses and banks are closed. Some retail stores are open.

Liquor stores: All state-run liquor stores will be closed Thursday.

Transportation: Everett and Community Transit are on Sunday schedules.

Ferries: Four routes will be on a holiday schedule including Edmonds, Kingston, Mukilteo and Clinton.

The Herald: Customer service (delivery) will be available between 7:30 a.m. and noon at 425-339-3200.
