    who chooses the teams?
what group of people chooses the All WESCO XC teams? Nina Penner from Mountlake Terrace was the fastest WESCO south runner at NW districts and she got second team?! Michael O'neill (also from Terrace) got 15th place at NW and ran at state, yet he was not even given Honorable mention?! what about Bryton Reim from Kamiak? He finished 7th at NW districts and was not even mentioned... I have no idea who picks the teams for XC but they did a horrible job.

    WESCO SOUTH VOLLEYBALL
FIRST CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ATHLETES WHO MADE FIRST TEAM, SECOND TEAM AND HONORABLE MENTION. IT MAKES ME WONDER HOW THE WESCO SOUTH COACHES DECIDE WHO MAKES THESE WONDERFUL TEAMS?
KATELYN KELLY SR. MARINER HIGH SCHOOL HAD 253 DIGS FOR THE SEASON,THE MOST FOR A LIBERO IN THE WESCO SOUTH BUT SHE WAS NOT GIVEN ANY RECOGNITION?
DO THEY DECIDE BY THE TEAMS THAT MAKE DISTRICT AND STATE, OR SHOULD THEY DECIDE ON THE ATHLETE THEMSELVES, EVEN WHEN THEY ARE ON A LOSING TEAM.
    AGAIN, JUST WONDERING?

    Re: WESCO SOUTH VOLLEYBALL
I think that every parent thinks their kid deserves all conference honors because of the overwhelming bias of parental love they possess. Yet win/loss record could have something to do with it. I played varsity basketball for Mariner for 3 years in 99-02. The first two seasons I did great, dropping 20 points on teams all the time, yet we were 1-19. The next season wasn't much better, but my senior year we went to the state play-offs and had a winning season. That's when I made all conference honors. Could be coincidence but I averaged about the same amount of points, maybe a little better each year, but not much.
