Seems Like Yesterday

50 YEARS AGO (1959)

Robert Dyer, personnel manager at Weyerhaeuser, was elected the first president of the newly organized Y’s Men’s Club of Everett. Also elected were Ralph Quaas, vice president; Andy Wilson, secretary, and Bill Monlux, treasurer. Additional board members for the coming year were Dell Russell, Joe Younker and Dudley Phibbs.

Many areas of the county were under water due to the recent flooding.

25 YEARS AGO (1984)

Construction of the Sea Galley corporate office building had begun on a 1.7-acre site in Mountlake Terrace. It would consist of 38,000 square feet of office space on three levels over a parking garage.
