Driver sought in hit-and-run of teen outside Meadowdale High
LYNNWOOD — Police on Tuesday were looking for the driver who drove away after hitting a teenager in a crosswalk.
A 17-year-old Lynnwood girl was hit by a car about 8:30 a.m. while she was crossing 168th Street SW in front of Meadowdale High School, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said. The car left the scene.
Medics drove the girl to Stevens Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
Police asked the public to help identify the driver and passenger of the hit-and-run car. Both are women, Sessions said. The car was described as a midsize, four-door car with a round top. Its paint color was described as pea green.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lynnwood Police Department traffic investigation section at 425-670-5600.
