Only one local high school football team is still alive: The Archbishop Murphy Wildcats.
Archbishop Murphy (11-1) will play the Lynden Lions (11-1) at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Class 2A state semifinals at the Tacoma Dome. It's a rematch of the teams' season-opening game, which Murphy won decisively at Qwest Field. Last year Lynden ended Murphy's season in the semis, also at the T-Dome.
