The woman who managed Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen's 2008 re-election campaign has filed a civil suit alleging she was sexually assaulted by the state senator's husband, according to an article in the Whidbey News-Times.

Courtney Jones' attorney filed the lawsuit against Basil Badley in Island County Superior Court Nov. 20.

Badley is well known in Olympia circles where he worked for years as a lobbyist.
