Stealth GM steps down
Johnny Mouradian has resigned as president and general manager of the Washington Stealth.
Mouradian stepped down Wednesday after six seasons with the National Lacrosse League team. He cited “the pursuit of other business opportunities” for his decision, the Stealth said in a press release. Mouradian will remain involved with the franchise in an advisory role for the next six months.
“The organization would like to thank Johnny for his hard work and dedication during his tenure with the Stealth,” team owner Denise Watkins said. “His efforts as a leader of our organization and in building a winning team on the field have put our organization in a positive position for the future.”
Stealth vice president and assistant general manager Doug Locker will take over the GM responsibilities, with Stealth head coach Chris Hall also playing an increased role within the organization, the team said.
The Stealth, who moved to Everett from San Jose, Calif., in June, open the 2010 NLL season Jan. 9 at home against Colorado. The team opens its first training camp in the Northwest on Saturday at Comcast Arena. Two-hour practice sessions are planned 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. and are open to the public.
