Blessed are the cheesemakers: A Wisconsin cheesemaker is selling 1,200 pounds of a 15-year-old cheddar cheese. Despite the $50-a-pound price tag, the sharp cheddar is selling well.

Eh, big deal. When we were living on our own we had blocks of Velveeta in the fridge that were at least that old.

Some wine with your cheese? Marysville winemaker John Bell, whose Willis Hall winery is garnering the praise and attention of wine enthusiasts, says he started his winery in 2003 after working for Boeing for 31 years.

French-based Airbus may be selling more planes than Boeing right now, but let's just see how good France is at making wine.

It's the amount that counts: Business editor Mike Benbow writes about the growing popularity of giving gift cards as presents during the holiday season, although the cards are favored more by women as gifts than they are by men.

It's not that guys don't appreciate the flexibility and convenience of gift cards; it's just that you can't immediately plug one into a DVD player the second you open it.
