For a league opener, Tuesday night's Jackson vs. Glacier Peak boys basketball game in Snohomish was incredibly intense. Junior guard Brett Kingma scored a game-high 32 points for 4A Jackson, which rallied to beat 3A Glacier Peak 87-77 in the Wesco South clash.
In its first two games of the season (both victories) Jackson is averaged 89 points. The Timberwolves offense has been fueled by guards Kingma (28.5 points per game), Ryan Todd (20.5 ppg) and newcomer Marshall Massengale (16.0 ppg). Massengale transferred to Jackson from O'Dea.
Several college coaches showed up to watch Kingma, including Seattle University's Cameron Dollar and a few University of Washington assistants. Kingma already has numerous scholarship offers but said that he probably won't commit until August.
It's obviously early in the season but we're starting to get an idea about which South basketball teams are going to be tough. I'd like to hear what you think, so tell me:
