FILE - In this Oct. 9, 2005 file photo, Tiger Woods tips his hat to the crowd before teeing off on the first hole during the final round of the American Express World Golf Championships at Harding Park in San Francisco. • We are amused: Buckingham Palace is denying speculative reports that Prince William, second in line to the throne, is being groomed as a “shadow king,” following reports that the queen is passing on more of her duties to her grandson.

The British press may be exaggerating. Among the prince's new duties: programming Her Majesty's DVR, cleaning the palace gutters and taking the royal corgies for walkies.
