Active Duty
Navy Seaman Apprentice Shelby A. Court completed basic training at Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill., and was stationed there for a year. Court recently received orders for a three-year tour of duty in Guam. She is a machine repair and fireman apprentice. Court is the daughter of Adam and Pam Court of Lake Stevens and granddaughter of Anne and Irv Seaver of Marysville.
Army Reserve Pvt. Mackinzie E. Powell has graduated from one station unit training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo. The course of instruction included basic combat military training and advanced individual training. Powell is the son of Cindy Christensen of Everett and is a 2009 graduate of Cascade High School.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Brandon R. Reed, a 2009 graduate of Bothell High School, recently completed basic training at Recruit Navy Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
