ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Simi Fajemisin | Lynnwood

BOYS BASKETBALL: Fajemisin scored 23 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, and grabbed 15 rebounds in a 56-45 win over Kamiak. He also had 17 points and 15 rebounds in a 52-40 win over Mariner.

A.C. Den Hartog | Cedarcrest

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Den Hartog scored 26 points, grabbed 23 rebounds and shot 14-for-20 from the free-throw line in a 51-50 win over Washington.

Matt Roe | Stanwood

BOYS SWIMMING: Roe swam state qualifying times in winning the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.45) and 100 butterfly (55.81) and swam on two winning relay teams in a 100-70 win over Edmonds-Woodway.

Alec Bird | Everett

BOYS WRESTLING: Bird won the 215-pound championship and was named the event’s outstanding wrestler while leading Everet to second place in the Battle of the Border meet at Blaine.

Shelbi Douty | Everett

GIRLS BOWLING: Douty rolled a 619 series in a 3-0 win over Anacortes and a 644 series in a 3-0 win over Jackson.
