Snohomish police arrest suspect in robberies
SNOHOMISH Snohomish police arrested a man wanted in Snohomish and King counties in connection with a string of convenience store robberies.
Police dispatchers broadcast a description of the suspect about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday after earlier robberies in Lynnwood and Shoreline, Snohomish police Cmdr. George Perillo said.
Around 20 minutes later Snohomish officers spotted a man attempting a robbery who matched the description, Perillo said.
The man, 29, was arrested. Police believe the man also may be responsible for a Nov. 30 convenience store robbery in Snohomish.
He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery and first-degree attempted robbery.
Snohomish Police Chief John Turner said the arrest was a result of good police work and a suspect wanted in several robberies now was behind bars.
