Firefighters battle Tulalip house fire

TULALIP — Fire crews late on Tuesday worked to control a fire raging through a family’s home.

About 8:30 p.m., firefighters found a single-family home in the 5400 block of 14th Avenue NE engulfed in flames, Marysville Fire District spokeswoman Kristen Thorstenson said.

No fire hydrants were in the area, and crews had to bring water in by truck. Firefighters poured water onto propane tanks near the house to keep them cool, Thorstenson said.

No injuries were reported Tuesday evening. It wasn’t immediately clear what started the blaze.
