Happiness is a warm paycheck

Columnist Eve Nicholas shares strategies for landing a job that fits your talents and makes you happy.

And in today’s economy, that would be just about any job whatsoever.

Dishy signature dishes: Robin Leventhal, a Seattle woman who placed sixth out of 17 contestants on Season Six of “Top Chef,” will teach a class called “Sexy Food” in Lynnwood on Thursday.

In a surprise move, the controversial Grab-n-Go espresso stand will not be adding Leventhal’s signature dishes to its menu.

The doctor will see you now: To reduce their patient load and give more personalized attention, some doctors now charge annual retainers in exchange for more face time.

The only catch: Some of that personal attention will have to take place on the back nine at the country club.

Late-night mess: Conan O’Brien says he won’t accept a 12:05 a.m. slot for “The Tonight Show” in order to make room for NBC prime-time washout Jay Leno at 11:35 p.m. (Page A2).

O’Brien did say he’d gladly step aside for the return of “Carson’s Comedy Classics.”
