Man shot in the chest in Everett

EVERETT – Police are investigating a shooting that left a man in his 40s wounded.

Everett police and medics were called to a parking lot at Evergreen Way and E. Casino Road about 6:30 tonight after people heard gunshots, Sgt. Mike McAvoy said.

A man in his 40s had been shot in the chest. Medics rushed him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition was not immediately known.

Detectives have been called to investigate.
