The Boeing Co. plans to fly the first 747-8 Freighter, shown in this November 2009 file photo, early this year. Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour is charging $125 for a spot to watch first flight on the center's deck.

If you're looking for a spot to watch the Boeing Co.'s 747-8 Freighter take its first flight, the Future of Flight Aviation Center is taking reservations.

The center sits on the edge of Paine Field, where Boeing's freighter will take flight early this year.

To reserve a spot on Future of Flight's Strato Deck, you'll need to donate $125 to the center's foundation. The donation gets you spot on the deck, a parking pass and refreshments during the event. For more details, see the Future of Flight's Web page.

The aviation center got a good turnout for the first flight of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner last month. For that event, the Future of Flight required a $250 donation.

As of yesterday afternoon, Boeing had both the first and second 747-8 flight test freighters on the flight line. The company plans to put the first one in the air soon with first delivery taking place later this year.
