SECOND AMENDMENT

Protection from government, too

Several good articles in The Herald in regard to the Second Amendment. They did bring out that the people have the right to keep and bear arms to protect themselves and others from the bad guys. They did not bring out that the Second Amendment also gives the people the right to keep and bear arms to protect themselves from the government if it gets too strong, controlling or out of hand. Also, the Second Amendment protects all the other amendments. This is why the framers wrote it.

Socialists and communists hate the Second Amendment and the words “free state.” The Second Amendment would get in the way of their complete control of the people for the benefit of the controllers.

Beware of any politician who does not support the Second Amendment. Would that be for his benefit or yours?

The question is and always has been: Do the people have the right to protect themselves or do they not have that right? We need to pay attention to the answers.
