The Rasmus Rissanen question

Last night the Tips lost 1-0 to Vancouver, the game's only goal being scored in the third period following a mysterious roughing penalty called on Everett defenseman Rasmus Rissanen, as Rissanen wasn't even on the ice when the call was made. After the game Tips broadcaster Jon Rosen, who didn't see the incident, said he talked to everyone in the press box and one person said they saw Rissanen reach out from the bench and grab a Vancouver player as that player was skating by. That would be an awful way to take a penalty late in a tied game, as well as a bizarre thing to do in any circumstances.

Well, I received a call from Rosen afterwards saying that he'd talked to people on the Everett bench and they were saying that the call was bogus, that Rissanen was just standing there when the Vancouver player skated by and fell down.

I checked out Steve Ewen's blog story on the game (link on the left) and he doesn't mention anything about the call.

So anyway, there's two third-hand accounts of the incident. Take it for what it's worth.
