Front Porch: Easter is on its way

Submit details about your community egg hunts, Easter Bunny sightings and more by 9 a.m. March 19 for the Herald’s annual Easter events calendar.

Include times, dates, addresses, costs and contact information.

Help Mercy Corps for Haitian Relief: A wine-tasting event is planned for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Balefire, 1801 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Tickets are $10 at the door. There will be a silent auction and door prizes. Proceeds will benefit Mercy Corps.

Camano chamber meets: A joint chamber mixer is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday at Windermere Real Estate — Country Club Office, 1283 S. Elger Bay Road, Camano Island.

Beverages and snacks will be provided and there will be door prizes.

Classes in first aid and CPR offered: Classes in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation are planned in Marysville.

The first-aid class is scheduled for 6 to 9 tonight at the Ken Baxter Senior-Community Center, 514 Delta Ave., in Comeford Park.

The class on CPR is scheduled for the same time Thursday at the same location. This class also will include instruction in automatic external defibrillation.

The cost is $30 per class. Registration is required.
