Camano Island walk

Take a guided walk at Camano Ridge Forest Preserve.

Join Friends of Camano Island Parks members at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, meeting at Camano Center, 141 East Camano Drive. The walk will be at Camano Ridge Forest Preserve. Climb the hill to the trail head with a brief stop at Kristoferson Beaver Marsh. The first half-mile of trail has a 200-foot elevation gain. Trails on top are fairly level. The trail is three-plus miles round trip. The approximately two-hour hike takes place rain or shine.

Dinner auction for Humane Society: The Humane Society offers an annual St. Patricks Day dinner and auction featuring comedian Marilyn Grey, author of the book All In Your Head.

Its planned for 3 p.m. Sunday at Old Spaghetti Factory, 2509 196th St. SW in Lynnwood.

Free swimming in Marysville: The first 200 folks get in free at 7 p.m. March 12 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, 5611 108th St. NE.

Another free swim is April 9.

The swim is sponsored by The Venture Church, a supporter of the Marysville Healthy Communities Project. The project is a collaboration by the Snohomish Health District and the city of Marysville to encourage healthy living. Please bring a donation for the Marysville Community Food Bank.
