Pedestrian hit by car, badly injured in Edmonds

EDMONDS — A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries late Sunday after being hit by a car.

Medics were called just after 9 p.m. to the 23800 block of Highway 99, Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said. The man, 33, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.

No other details about the accident were immediately available.

Southbound Highway 99 was blocked as police investigated, according to the state Department of Transportation.
