Breakdown of the Silvertips' draft
Here are the Everett Silvertips' 12 selections in this year's bantam draft, listed with their position, height, weight and hometown:
2nd round (24th overall)
Ryan Chynoweth, center, 6-foot, 150 pounds, Lethbridge, Alberta. A two-way center who plays a hard-nosed game. Playing for the Lethbridge (Alberta) Golden Hawks he had 21 goals, 39 assists and 78 penalty minutes in 32 games. He is the son of Kootenay general manager Jeff Chynoweth.
3rd round (40th overall)
Tye Hand, defenseman, 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. A stay-at-home defenseman with good size who plays physical. Playing for Kelowna (B.C.) Pursuit of Excellence he had two goals, 14 assists and 70 penalty minutes in 42 games. He is Everett's first player from the Northwest Territories.
4th round (68th overall)
Austin Adam, defenseman, 6-foot-3, 160 pounds, Surrey, B.C. A rangy defenseman who concentrates on his own end. Playing for the Cloverdale Colts he had two goals and three assists in 14 games.
5th round (106th overall)
Geordie Maguire, left wing, 6-foot-1, 155 pounds, Winnipeg, Manitoba. A power forward with an offensive upside. Playing for the Winnipeg Warriors he had 20 goals and 25 assists in 29 games.
7th round (133rd overall)
Michael Bell, center, 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, Maple Ridge, B.C. A good-sized forward who specializes in work ethic. Playing for the Ridge Meadows Rustlers he had 19 goals, 25 assists and 41 penalty minutes in 24 games.
7th round (150th overall)
Austin Lotz, goaltender, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, St. Aldophe, Manitoba. An intelligent goaltender who was under the radar. Playing for the Southwest Jets he went 14-12-0 with a 3.63 goals against average and .916 save percentage in 27 games.
8th round (169th overall)
Carson Stadnyk, center, 5-foot-11, 140 pounds, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A highly-skilled forward who's still growing into his body. Playing for the Saskatoon Outlaws he had 66 goals, 50 assists and 86 penalty minutes in 55 games.
9th round (189th overall)
Kyle Messervey, center, 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, Sundre, Alberta. An abrasive forward who gets under opponents' skins. Playing for Red Deer Rebels White he had four goals, 19 assists and 56 penalty minutes in 33 games.

Chandler Bruyckere, defenseman, 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, Parksville, B.C. A rangy defenseman who comes from a strong program. Playing for the Notre Dame Hounds in Saskatchewan he had four goals and 18 assists in 24 games.

Cody Depourcq, forward, 5-foot-6, 135 pounds, Penticton, B.C. A tremendously-skilled and tenacious player who's lacking in size. Playing for the Penticton Vees he had 116 goals and 90 assists in 64 games.

Casey Parker, goaltender, 5-foot-8, 135 pounds, Regina, Saskatchewan. A focused goaltender who's a little undersized. Playing for the Notre Dame Hounds he went 12-0 with a 1.32 goals against average. He is the son of Regina general manager Brent Parker.
11th round (222nd overall)
Andrew Weich, defenseman, 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Calgary, Alberta. Another rangy defenseman from a strong program. Playing for the Calgary Bisons he had two goals and 15 assists in 33 games.
