2 injured in Lake Stevens crash

LAKE STEVENS — Police weren't sure what caused a man to lose control of his vehicle Thursday night, injuring himself and an 8-year-old child.

The crash closed Highway 92 about 7:35 p.m., Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori said.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was headed east from Highway 9 when he crashed into one vehicle near 113th Street NE, Celori said. The driver continued to Grade Road where he crashed into a second vehicle, injuring a child. The child was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries, Celori said.
