Seahawks sign 5th-round pick Kam Chancellor

A day after signing their sixth-round pick, the Seahawks have signed fifth rounder Kam Chancellor, a strong safety from Virginia Tech, according to reports.

The move has not yet been confirmed by the team, but both ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL.com's Jason La Canfora have reported the signing.

Chancellor doesn't have elite speed or ball skills, but has the size--he's listed at 6-foot-3, 232 pounds, and looks every bit of it in person--to bring a hard-hitting presence to the Seahawks defensive backfield.

Chancellor was a quarterback in high school, and played cornerback and safety at Virginia Tech.
