Consumers by the hundreds of thousands streamed to Apple stores in the nation’s malls Thursday, as the iPhone 4 went on sale.

Apple said it’s struggling to satisfy demand for the gadget, which is good news for those new iPhone 4 owners who will need to sell the things on eBay when their unemployment runs out next month.

Washington State, Brought to You by Comcast: State government could solve part of its long-term budget problem by privatizing the ferry system and selling naming rights to roads, bridges and other state property, Gov. Chris Gregoire suggested Thursday.

In response, Boeing signaled it might be willing to purchase naming rights to the new Highway 529 floating bridge if the state agrees to equip the span with luxury suites for its important customers, such as the CEO of Singapore Airlines.
