Three Silvertips selected in NHL draft
LOS ANGELES - Three members of the Everett Silvertips were selected in the NHL draft on Saturday,.
Goaltender Kent Simpson was selected in the second round (58th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks, defenseman Radko Gudas was selected in the third round (66th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning, and defenseman Alex Theriau was selected in the fourth round (109th overall) by the Dallas Stars.
Everett has now developed 13 NHL draft picks, four of which have been selected in the first round, since the team began play in 2003-04.
