Ideas to spark your July Fourth plans

Saturday

Fireworks

Everett: Follows 7:05 p.m. Everett AquaSox baseball game, Everett Memorial Stadium, 3900 Broadway.

Navy fun

Everett: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Naval Station Everett, 2000 W. Marine View Drive. Ship tours, fly-bys, entertainment, car show, displays, food court. Shuttle only on Everett Transit, no parking. 425-304-5665.

Sunday

Breakfasts

Arlington: Frontier Days Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast, 7 to 11 a.m., Haller Park, 1100 West Ave.

Bothell: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. pancakes, downtown firehouse, 10726 Beardslee Blvd.

Everett: Flying Pig Annual Pancake Breakfast, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2929 Colby Ave.

Silvana: 7 a.m. to noon, Willow and Jim’s Country Cafe, 1421 Pioneer Highway. Breakfast and lunch served by Fire District 19 personnel to benefit the Firefighter’s Association. Raffle, too.

Ceremonies

Camano Island: 3 p.m. Freedom Park, 578 SW Camano Drive. Tribute to pioneers, with speakers, entertainment, Pearl Harbor Survivors, Boy Scout Troop 413.

Darrington: Family fun, after 1 p.m. parade, at Old School Park, 1026 Alvord St.

Everett: 2 to 11 p.m. Colors of Freedom Festival, Legion Park, 145 Alverson Blvd. Shuttle on Everett Transit from Everett Community College parking lot on Broadway.

Stanwood: 5 p.m. Heritage Park behind Stanwood Middle School, 9405 271st St. NW. Boys & Girls Club of Arlington offers games for kids; Stanwood Senior and Community Center sells strawberry shortcake and Josephine Sunset Home sells popcorn.

Fireworks

Arlington: 9 p.m., seating at Boys & Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE.

Darrington: Dusk, Darrington High School, 1085 Fir St.

Edmonds: Dusk, Civic Playfield, 300 Sixth Ave N.

Everett: 10:20 p.m., Thunder on the Bay Fireworks, Port Gardner Bay.

Monroe: After a 7 p.m. demolition derby at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE.

Parades

Bothell: Children’s parade, 12:15 p.m., line up at 104th Avenue and Main Street; grand parade, 1 p.m.; free to participate; routes proceed west on Main Street and then north on Bothell-Everett Highway to NE 188th Street.

Darrington: 1 p.m. along Darrington Street.

Edmonds: children’s parade, 12:30 p.m., Fifth Avenue and Howell; grand parade 1 p.m., Sixth and Main streets.

Everett: 1 p.m., Colors of Freedom, Colby and Wetmore avenues, between Wall and 26th streets.
