Three injured in rollover accident near Alderwood mall

LYNNWOOD -- Three people were injured Saturday evening in a rollover crash near the Alderwood mall.

The driver of a 2006 Dodge Magnum was northbound on Highway 525 about 8:30 p.m., exiting to Alderwood Mall Parkway, when he lost control. The car rolled and landed on its top in a ditch, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.

A Bellevue woman, 18, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with injuries to her chest. Another passenger, a 22-year-old Mukilteo man, and the driver, a 22-year-old Bothell man, were taken to Stevens Hospital.

Troopers arrested the driver for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol, Leary said.

"The collision is being investigated as a vehicular assault," he said.
