Larsen targets Koster's embrace of Tea Party, oil drilling

In a new campaign video, U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, D-WA., goes on the offensive against Republican challenger John Koster.
The nearly two-minute piece posted on Larsen's campaign website blends Koster's praise of the Tea Party movement with controversial comments from the movement leaders. It also mixes Koster's endorsement of new offshore oil drilling in a radio interview with scenes from the platform blowout in the Gulf.
Bottom line, it leaves one feeling Koster champions a perspective of the far right -- farther right than the mainstream voter in the 2nd Congressional District.
