Anniversary

Braaten

Lowell and Kathy Braaten, of Snohomish, celebrated their 40th anniversary on Sunday.

They were married Aug. 8, 1970, in Monroe.

The couple has two children.

They celebrated their anniversary on a family trip to Maui, Hawaii, in July.

Engagement

Zuvela and Marin

Steve and Carol Zuvela, of Everett, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenny, to Luis Marin, son of Yazmin Michel and Fernando Marin of El Paso, Texas.

Zuvela was raised in Everett, and Marin moved to meet the woman of his dreams.

The couple's friendship began in a church group almost three years ago.

Zuvela is a marketing specialist at Everett Community College and Marin is a facilities manager at Christian Faith Center in Mill Creek.

The wedding is set for Oct. 15 at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish.

The future newlyweds plan to make their first home together in Mill Creek.
