Around Snohomish County
Everett: Did you cruise Colby Avenue?
The Snohomish County Museum of History is creating an exhibit of Everett's classic cruising strip on Colby Avenue from decades past.
If the chrome caravan led you to your future spouse, earned you a citation from one of Everett's finest or made you a regular diner at Herfy's, they want to know. They're looking for film reels, audio diaries, photographs, personal recollections and artifacts to develop an exhibit about the time when Everett was a hot-rod and jalopy magnet.

Mountlake Terrace: Assist fire victims
The Red Onion restaurant plans to host a fundraiser today and Tuesday for families who lost their homes in the recent Lynnwood apartment fire. Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross for the families.
The restaurant also will accept donations for the families through Wednesday.
"We just decided to do the neighborly thing and step in and help out," Owner Seaun Richards said Friday.
Richards hopes to serve the full menu, but if the fundraiser gets too busy, the restaurant will switch to only burger and fries.
The restaurant, 23209 56th Ave. W, will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days.
Bonds go on market
The city of Mountlake Terrace plans to sell $6.25 million in water and sewer revenue bonds beginning today. The proceeds will be used to fund city projects over the next two years.
The city achieved an "AA" bond rating from Standard and Poor's, which indicates Mountlake Terrace is a quality borrower with the capacity to meet its financial commitments, according to the city. The tax-exempt bonds will be sold by Piper Jaffray & Co. Maturities range from one to 20 years.
